Welcome in VEOLIA Environnement Finance area

European regulations regarding international accounting standards anticipated the preparation and publication of the consolidated accounts of European companies listed on the stock exchange in accordance with new accounting regulations, the IFRS, as of 1 January 2005. Veolia Environnement carried out a long preparatory study, begun in early 2003, and provided training for financial analysts throughout 2005. In order to account for concessions under IFRS, Veolia Environnement made the decision in June 2006 to apply draft interpretations D12/D13/D14 to the 2006 half-year and year-end statements in anticipation, while these were still under discussion within the IFRIC. The official IFRIC 12 interpretation was in fact only published in November 2006.
