Consultative Committee

A Shareholders’ Consultative Committee was set up in April 2003. This consists of 11 unpaid members, two of whom represent the employee shareholders. It is chaired by Nathalie Pinon, Vice-President, Investor Relations.

The aim of the Shareholders’ Consultative Committee is to forge stronger links between Veolia Environnement and its individual shareholders. In particular, it is helping to improve the company’s communications materials aimed at them. By gaining deeper insight into the demands of its shareholders, it is improving its communications, adapting it to their needs, and providing greater transparency.

The Shareholders’ Consultative Committee met 5 times in 2006. All of its members attended the annual shareholders’ meeting, one of them addressing the meeting on that occasion.

Main topics broached at the committee’s 2006 meetings:

  • Initiatives taken in the course of preparing for the shareholders’ meeting;
  • A post-shareholders’ meeting debriefing;
  • Veolia Environnement’s participation in the Salon Actionaria (shareholders’ salon), to which certain committee members contributed actively;
  • A review of the different means of communication and services available, or that could be made available, to individual shareholders (trade fairs, conferences...);
  • Website: a review of the website dedicated to individual shareholders.

We wish to thank all members of our committee for the quality of their support and their exceptional efforts during our work meetings.
