Annual Shareholders meeting
Attending a shareholders' meeting
- If you are a registered shareholder
- If you hold bearer shares
If you are a registered shareholder
You will receive notice of meeting at least 15 days before the scheduled date, together with all legal and regulatory documents, i.e.:
- Application for a ticket of admission to the shareholders’ meeting,
- Application for proxy form and correspondence voting form,
- Application for documents and information,
- Resolutions submitted to the General Meeting,
- Five-year financial summary.
If you hold bearer shares
It is up to you to contact your financial intermediary, who must certify that your shares are immobilized and provide you with an attendance certificate. Those Veolia Environnement shareholders that are able to justify their status with an accounting entry in the company’s share register, no later than three working days before the date of the Meeting, may attend the Meeting. For 2008, the deadline is midnight (Paris local time) on May 2th. This certificate must be submitted to Société Générale in Nantes along with a request for an admission card for the Meeting, which will be sent to you by mail.
Some documents, namely the:
- Registration document,
- Report of the Board of Directors,
- and the General and special reports of the independent auditors, may be consulted by all shareholders, regardless of the form in which they hold their shares, at the headquarters of Veolia Environnement 10 days prior to the date of the meeting. Apply in writing to the Corporate Secretary in advance.
Veolia Environnement publishes the notice of meeting and the registration document on its website at least 10 days prior to the shareholders’ meeting in order to ensure the widest possible circulation for this document.
Useful tip
If you still have not received your admission ticket by the date of the shareholders’ meeting
you will still be able to attend and vote in the meeting, provided you can give proof of:
- your identity if you are a registered shareholder;
- your identity + a participation certificate obtained from your financial intermediary, if you own bearer shares.
